Janken Myrdal is Professor emeritus in agrarian history at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, now also affiliated to the Department of Economic History and International Relations, Stockholm University. He has researched agricultural history for several periods, and the general cultural and economic history of the Middle Ages. He is currently working on a project concerning agricultural world history.
